About
About FASTEC
In 2005, SP Bindings founder Thomas Krenn set out to create something completely new. He believed in a binding that would save riders time and energy, without sacrificing performance, letting them focus on chasing epic lines and endless fun — in his eyes the holy grail of bindings.
Fast forward 20 years and hundreds of thousands of bindings later, FASTEC has become one of snowboarding’s most proven and trusted binding systems. Adopted by numerous brands and ridden by riders around the world, it continues to evolve with every generation.

The brand behind FASTEC
Built on SP DNA
FASTEC is a patented technology developed by SP United Holding AG, with locations in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, China, Japan and the USA. Since the mid-1990s, our headquarters has been in Vienna, Austria, where sales, design, product development and marketing come together.
SP’s roots lie in German engineering, backed by decades of experience in tool design, toolmaking and injection molding. These high standards helped establish SP as a trusted supplier to the automotive industry.
In 2002, we opened our second factory in China, where SP products including SP Bindings, SP Gadgets, SP Connect and FASTEC are produced today. From design to production, FASTEC is developed in-house and built to last.
